How can you tell if its brumation and not something else?

Last year, my bearded dragon, Pat had parasites (coccidia) and then everything has been fine. She's about 15 months old now and near the end of October she started sleeping more and eating a lot less. I started thinking that it was brumation b/c I've read a couple articles on it and it doesn't seem like parasites. (She's still interested in food when she's awake and every time she eats and poops, the poop has been solid and normal looking)

(I posted in the health forum about this a little while ago.) I was just reading everyones stories about brumation and I guess I"m just so confused about it because its my first winter with Pat as an adult. I've been feeding her every time that she's been awake and giving her fluids and greens, but I'm just worried about her digesting properly if she's not basking regularly. If this is brumation, how often should i be feeding her and giving her baths?

If anyone has any suggestions about beardie care during brumation, it would be greatly appreciated!

There is a like under 'care sheets and articles' that explains brumation very well. It's been recently updated. It explains everything, but the only quick answer I can give you is one of the suggestions in the article. Get a fecal done on him before you let him brumate. The symptoms of brumation are the same as illnesses and, often, the only way to tell is get a fecal and vet check done before letting him brumate, the only other way to tell is if he starts loosing a LOT of weight, apparently, if they loose a few grams, it's not serious. I hope this helps a little.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
