How best to prepare salad and/or dust feeders

How do you prepare your salads? Do you use a food processor to shred things? Or just tear it by hand? Also how do you go about dusting your feeders/crickets/worms/roaches etc.

I tear my salad by hand and use a knife to chop things like squash and cactus... I suppose you could use a food processor, but you'd need to be really careful not to turn moister things like cactus to mush. I only dust salads if they didn't go for enough feeders that day. Generally, I dust feeders by throwing them in a tupperware container with a bit of powder and shaking it. It might not be the most accurate way of doing it, but it coats them pretty effectivly, and none of my kids have anything wrong with them, so it must be doing the job.

i dont dust anything anymore but when i did i would just use a ziplock bag and put some suppliment in there and shake them up

as for greens i would only dust them every other day and only one of the feedings (if he ate all of them the first time)

and i would just chop them up with a knife like stated above you would want to be careful not to make a mush


edit: oops i made it sound like i didnt give any calcium at all lol i just give a liquid calcium mix instead oops
