How Active Should He be?

Ive noticed that my beardie is not as active as some of the ones that I have seen at the reptile store I go to. Just wondering, I have a baby and I've had him for about a month now and he's 6". Hes not as active and normally would move to the other side of the viv to cool off, he likes to run alot when I go to handle him. Is this normal? And he's not eating as much, I think it is because the crickets are the width of his head, I know they should not be bigger. Any suggestions?

Exo-terra Solar glo 125 watt, it brand new. I think I found the problem, I had the light hanging above and it was not close enough, now the temp at highest point he can climb is 100 degrees.

You'll want to keep the temperature of his basking spot between 100-110 F. Darwin normally likes it around 105 F. Low temps may have contributed to his lethargy and lack of appetite.

Yea he probably wasn't eating much because his body wasn't warm enough. They need to reach 100 degrees to digest the food. You could try placing the lamp dome on the screen, if it is a wire screen and safe for that heat. That's how mine is set up. I have his log leading up to the top corner and he loves that spot.

Those Solar Glo lights are crap, and don't give off hardly any UVB.. and plus your beardie needs to be 18" away from a MVB light.. It is not safe to have them that close. Return that Solar Glo, and get a Powersun 160 watt if you want to stick with a MVB bulb.. the 160 watt doesn't give off tons of heat like it sounds... But Solar Glo, ditch ASAP.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
