*HotY* award!!

As many of you are aware, my Izzie Izard passed away last Monday. We almost got a new one from a local woman, but she found a foster family to temporarily house him, til she found a new apartment. My husband worked Midnight-8am all week, came home Friday morning, loaded me into the car and drove 2 1/2 hours to pick up a rescue. Teenage son lost interest and mom is fed up. Soooo...

I here by award my hubby with the coveted Husband of the Year!!!! As soon as Photobucket cooperates, I'll post some pics. In the meantime, I need a name for a grouchy, headbobbing, bleackbearding, hiss-n-huff bugger of an hormonal male ! OMG, :shock: I never really knew just how placid and sweet Izzie was, until this guy! If he isn't giving us the death glare, he's sprinting for the border!lol :lol:

That was very sweet of the hubby! He does deserve the Husband of the Year Award!

Congrats Frances on your new "master". Your heart is so big and I think it's wonderful that you are opening it to another even though it still must be hurting.

What I find sad is the fact that his previous owners neglected him to the point that he doesn't want any human contact. I'm sure you will win him over quickly.

HMMMM, names..names..names. I guess it will probably be easier to help once we see pics of the guy. We'll all be waiting patiently (except for Gina, who NEVER waits patiently for pics :mrgreen: :wink: )

For some reason, we've taken to referring to him as Huffy, possibly because he's constantly huffing and bearding us. He also has started running towards me, stopping about a foot away and BOBBING HIS HEAD OFF!!!!

Frances, he is so handsome! And Huffy, what big & black beard you have! My goodness!

I think the running up to you then headbob is his way of saying "you better not leave me".

How many times did you have to retrieve him to put him in a burrito after the bath? He looked so content being all wrapped up. Same goes with wearing the leash.

My favorite pic of him, so far, is the last two.

I have one (PVT Blaze) that will head bob me and chase me around the house :lol: when I try to video him...I don't think he likes me taking his pic. :lol:

Gina, he may look contented but was really just to tired from his frantic escape attempts (evil tub was too slippery) and, oooh lets see, 4 or was 10 burrito wrappings!

As for that nasty contraption, you DO NOT want to know! Lets just say, Alcatraz would have been a cinch for this guy and leave it at that!

By the way, :study: I've used the "protein" method to teach him that salads are yummy! Dangle a piece of greens in front of his face until he lunges and bites. :shock: Of course, you are supposed to remove your finger from the salad first. After 3 tries to eat me, Huffy realized the salad tasted much better without my finger in it :mrgreen: He is now a little veggie monster.
