Hot enough basking

Hello.
Since I have upgraded my baby beardie Toulah to a 40g breeder tank, I have been having a hard time getting the basking spot temp where it should be.
It has been maintaining around 100 degrees and I know babies need 110-115. I don't know what to do for getting it warmer. I've got 3 basking bulbs over the spot, 2 of which are 100W!
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

What are you using to measure the temps? That should be enough wattage to get the heat you need. I've found adjustable lamp stands to be handy for fine tuning the lighting. The range you're shooting for is more like 100-110 so you aren't far off.

I'm using a digital probe to measure the temps, and it is in fact, a bit off. I got an old fashioned mercury thermometer to check it's accuracy and it was reading 100 degrees, while the probe was still in the 90's.
I can't get the lamps any closer to her as they are sitting on top of her screen lid.

OK. In that case if you're getting 100 I wouldn't tweak it too much because it's close. The gradient is more important so make sure your cool side is around 75-80 or so to let her self regulate. Based on some recent reading I've done, she may be better off with more lights further away than a higher wattage light closer because you can create a wider basking zone this way so she heats up evenly which is important. If you were getting 90's I'd say up the wattage but if you're seeing 100 I'd say close enough and run with that if you're confident the readings are reasonably accurate.

That sounds good then, cause more lights further away is what I have. the basking is basically on one half of the tank and the other half is the cooler area, just have one small watt Che to keep it 75-80.
She is good about going over there if she gets hot.
Thanks for the info again cooper. :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
