So I've been trying some new "wild" greens and such from my yard. Which by the way has never had pesticides, fertilizers, or anything else on it the entire 60 some years our family has lived in this house. We just kinda let stuff grow, see what it is, move/remove it if it's anything that needs such done. We have a butt ton of hostas so I decided to try and see if she'd like them (which she absolutely did!). I know hostas are edible to humans and I figure any green we can eat, they can too. Her other current favorite are the snapdragons that grow in my yard, she loves that as an add-in. And I've also found she like zucchini! It's been hard for me to find stuff she'll eat, she's in the weaning off bugs a little more and get into salad stage of her life (which she's not happy about). She also gets the following things that grow in my yard: clovers, wild wine grapes + leaves, clover flowers, squash leaves + flowers, blackberry leaves, forsythia flowers, dandelion flowers + leaves, cat grass, mint, basil, apple flowers, apples, peaches, dwarf pears, blackberries, white mulberries, mulberry leaves, snapdragon flowers and leaves and zucchini. Any other suggestions for common greens or flowers for her? I was curious if my diet was ok for her as well. She hardly ever gets the same thing every day, it's always a combo of the aforementioned. Also I just got my dubia roaches today and she absolutely LOVES them. Gobbled them up like a kid with candy! Any suggestions on what to feed the roaches? Currently they are eating zoomed bearded dragon pellets, fluker's cricket feed and a cut up clementine. I'll try to get some shots of her eating the veggies and/or roaches!
