hornworm is black and alive

i have a hornworm that is black and still eating only about 2 inches long what should i do

Do you think that you could post up a picture? Perhaps there is a hormonal imbalance. Have you tried to see if its male or female? :twisted:

Black coloring generally mean it's septic. Hornworms and Silkworms will turn black when they are sick. Both these worms can potentially get bacterial infections. I would not feed it to your beardie. Do you know how old it is?

they r a month old for and still 2 inches they eat and eat but r black
