So I gave a Brutus a bath today, and of course he resisted as much as possible, even puffing up his beard a little for the first time. Then I took him out and wrapped him loosely in a towel. His beard and underbelly were really white, so when he motioned to climb on my shoulder, I figured he could since he didn't seem defensive. Well, he continued to climb to the middle of my back so that I was hunched over, and I sat there like that for a good 20 minutes. The position I had my body in was killing me. I tried to get him off my back but he was out of reach from all directions. Little stinker. Finally, he gets onto my arm, and I put my arm in the tank, thinking that he'd want to go back. Oh no, he didn't! he ran right up to my shoulder again. When I eventually caught him and put him into his viv, he ran to the highest branch, looking like he wanted to come out again. That was enough for one day. He's so quick! I was afraid he'd run under my bed and I'd never be able to find him again!
Suffice to say, that was his first great beardie moment outside the tank, and I'm hoping he'll be looking for more! Yay!
