Holly only wants bugs.

Holly used to eat her salad like a champ but over the last few days she just wants bugs. She acts super hungry when I feed her the roaches. She gets 3 roaches, 4 phoenix worms and a cup of mixed greens including kale, collards, turnip and escarole. My question is why the sudden obsession with her dubia? Could she be going through a growth spurt? She is 1.5-2 years old.

Have you ever fed the dubias before to her?
It is possible that she may grow a little at that age. They do continue to grow, mature & fill out well into their 2nd year, really.
I am glad to hear she is eating her greens well too. How many insects weekly does she eat?

Hi Drachea,

Yes she has been getting dubias since I adopted her in December. (2 days before Christmas, hence the festive name. She gets 4 dubias per day so 28 per week. She also gets 4 phoenix worms per day when she will eat them. She eats her salad but I have to hand feed it to her.
