hic-ups

My 5 month old female has had hic-ups now for the better part of the day. She will hic-up about 3 times a minute. She is not eating but has had a poop today and seems to be alert to her surroundings.
Any thoughts?

Hi Frank,

I'm not sure about hiccups, never experienced that with Rex. It could be a respiratory infection, but I would only be guessing. Three hiccups a minute does not sound good to me. Why don't you PM Tracie(drache613). She could help you out.
If Stewart seems distressed at all, I would take him to the vet.
I hope by the time you get this reply he is better.

How is Stewart doing? Did you happen to PM Tracie and ask her opinion on the hiccups? I hope he is doing better and the hiccups have stopped, let me know.

Yes....it has finally stopped and she is back to eating again.

Frank...I have to say I am very relieved. I was really worried for Stewart and for you. I don't want anything to happen to this little guy...you have too many years of enjoyment to spend together!!!
