Hello, I am new here! I made this account, as I have a new beardie! He is 8-9 weeks old and a darling!I If I had a picture, I would put it up here of my baby Zirilan. Zirilan is gorgeous, green, brown/black, orange, yellow, and white are all on his head and body, while his tail is a pinkish color, white, brown, and orange! So, hi, everyone, nice to meet you!

EDIT:
1: Zirilan is a male(I checked not long ago)
2: I got some flakes off of his tail 6/5/16, so his tail looks oranger and not pinkish!

He loves climbing on my computer, and he acts like a kitty or a dog! Planning on getting stuff ready for a roach colony on Friday(Maybe), any suggestions? I have seen people say they use oranges, but I am sure oranges can't be eaten by beardies. If Zirilan eats roaches that have eaten oranges, will he get sick, because of the citrus in oranges?
Also, is it normal that when he sees his reflection that he puffs up? He is seeing himself through the glass, and I am scared he might get hurt.
Also, Zirilan is around 7-9 inches, so he it tiny, and he likes clinging on to my arm and won't let go! He is funny and likes a specific rock in his cage, it is the biggest rock in his cage. He likes climbing on my shirt, he walked all the way to the back of my shirt! Luckily, I got him off easily with not hurting him or scaring either of us. :)

Maybe he'd like watching a video with other dragons or video of bugs. Orange slices are a good way to hydrate your dubia and it's safe to use. I put all sorts of veg scraps in for their food. They especially like squash but aren't very picky. There is a good writeup about roach care here: http://www.southtexasdragons.com/dubia-roaches.html

It's best to keep him away from his reflection for a while, especially while he's young. He probably thinks it's another dragon and stresses him out. They eventually learn and will ignore their reflections based on what I've seen. I'm glad to hear you're starting to learn his personality. Enjoy the time while he's young. They are active and curious and love exploring. It's a lot of fun to watch them learn.

Hahaha, maybe, I had tarantulas on there one time, and the other was playing a game! I'll try to have his watch a video soon! As for the roaches, thanks, I was scared they would hurt him! I have summer squash right now for him, and I can give the roaches him leftover food or random scraps!
I get why to keep him away from his reflection, I have tried to get him to stop, but nothing seems to work.. :(
Exploring is something he LOVES! He once tried to go into my armpit.... I stopped him, as I didn't want him to get hurt while going down my sleeve.
Also, why would people feed beardies anoles or other small vertebrates? I won't but it is something I am marveled by
Also, I was looking at Beautiful Dragons food list and noticed beef and tofu, does anyone here feed their dragons tofu or beef?
Also, any idea where to find dandelions? I have a lot of collard greens, but I want him(and I) to try some of it.

Small lizards and rodents are part of their natural diet along with bugs and plants. They are opportunistic feeders and have a pretty wide diet in the wild. As long as you're offering a variety of bugs and nutritious, varied salads it will be good enough. I certainly couldn't bring myself to offer an anole as a feeder. Such cute little guys!

I don't offer tofu or beef, just live bugs and veges. I can sometimes get dandelion greens at the grocery store. They aren't always stocked though so I just rotate them in when they're available. If your yard isn't sprayed with pesticides then you might get some there as well.

There is a video online of bloodbank feeding a bunch of different small animals to beardies. They made it for the purpose of showing that bearded dragons will eat anything they can fit into their mouths. On the whole though most people don't feed anoles or mice to their dragons because they can be hard to digest. They CAN do it but overall there are so many other soft bodied feeders available that there is no reason to. A lot of people will argue that they eat them in the wild, which is true. However, in the wild their average lifespan is estimated to be 3-5 years whereas in captivity, with proper care, they can live much longer.

Also, never heard of beef or tofu being fed to them. Not saying it hasn't been done, I've seen people claim they have fed them all kinds of stuff, but I've never heard of those two items personally.

Ahh, well, I get that vertebrates probably are in their diet in the wild, but I won't feed him lizards, I don't have the heart to do it. I give him collard greens, squash, crickets, and roaches for a diet, he'll get more roaches soon, roach colony needs to be made.

don't think I can give him dandelions from outside, I believe they are sprayed with petsicides :( But, I will have to look for things for him!

Anyone know where I can get him toys? I found someone who has dragons and gives them all types of things for toys! Oh, and I gave him a bath today..he hated it... poor baby climbs my arm so he couldn't take a bath, I made it nice and warm, but he just isn't a fan.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
