I have been looking at acquiring my first pet. The idea of a ferret was first on my list, but I will be moving soon and renting so a ferret will not be very rent friendly. My friend suggested a bearded dragon, and after doing some research on them, they seem like a fantastic pet. Hardy, cute, and friendly. I do have a question if anyone knows. I will be moving to Nevada soon and dont plan on buying a dragon until I get there. That being said, are there any special items I would need for Nevada? I know it is insanely hot and dry there and am not sure about the humidity levels and things. Any advice for a new soon to be dragon owner?

Beardies are desert creatures so I would say hot and dry would be right up their alley. They like low humidity, in fact higher humidity can be an invitation for fungal and respiratory infections. As for setup, you have come to the right place for the best advice on that, and it's great that you're doing your research ahead of time.
