First my beardie:
He has lived with me only a few days, and is my 12 year olds Christmas present. Ok, he is nominally my son's present.
I bought him at a local pet store, he wasn't in prime living conditions but has a fantastic personality.
He was kept in a clean 10 gallon tank with calci-sand. They told me to feed him a dozen and a half crickets every other day and greens every day. He is missing his tail, but the stub is well healed.
Draken is 7 inches long, about 1.5 inches is tail. They think he is 4 months old.
His set up at my house is a 40 gallon tank with a zoomed 10.0 light. I have an infrared light and a flood light. The substrate is cage carpet. He is getting dusted crickets daily, as many as he will eat, and a varied greens dish(using the beautiful dragons list of foods)
He is getting a bath every day, and loves it.
Draken is going to have to wait a couple of weeks for a larger tank, I am building a mezzanine enclosure for him.
I finally decided to get the turkistan roaches next pay day and breed them for feeders. That decision was harder than I thought it would be! Who knew I would spend hours contemplating bugs?
My kids wanted to name him Drake, but that is my oldest son's name so we settled on Draken.
