Just thought I'd introduce myself... I am the mom of an 8 year old who got a beardie for his birthday! I wish I had found this site before we got "Rosco" but am very happy to have found it now! 
We just bought ours at Petsmart, we really have no breeders or reptile specialty stores around here so Rosco isn't anything fancy. I'd post a pic but don't know how to so I will just say that he is a run of the mill, but cute, Petsmart beardie. I have no clue as to his hatch date but we gave him a b-day of March 1st... totally a guess. He is about 7" long. He is doing well, loves his crickets, loves worms (we will be trying phoenix worms tomorrow) and nibbles on his greens. So far so good. He is a funny little guy and is really particular about his sleeping... he insists on climbing up into this wide leafed fake plant and spawling out. It is cute cuz he totally gets his tale wedged in there to help support him but sometimes it is quite the feat for him to get up there and sometimes he up there all crazy sideways and I have to help him. Today I ordered him a hammock so maybe that will be a better sitution for him and sleeping since he seems so particular. Anyway, it has been an adventure having this little guy for the past few weeks... we are learning a lot. Now if only I could get my husband to make him a great viv, we'd be all set. (of course I fell into the 20 gal pet store trap) so I'm on the hunt for the perfect house for him. If anyone has some great building plans for a 4x2x2 foot viv, please post them 8)
