hello iam new to this board. I currently have 1 bd who is full size(picked it up from a friend who did not want him anymore) he currently is on this peat moss substrate and has a heat rock. Is that correct? idk,because i just found this place.
The moss is not a good substrate for the beardie as you may already know this by now.

No and no. Heat rocks are no good. Heat pads that are under the tank are okay but as long as you have substrate. Also, moss as a substrate isn't good. Since he's older you can use play sand, tile, or reptile carpet.
