Hi I'm new to my beardie

So I got my little guy (I believe it's male) from petsmart. Me and the gf did quite a bit of research and decided to try it. I have held him a few times without problem and he's eating pretty well. Mostly crickets and tomorrow I plan on getting him some mustard greens. He will let me pet him but a bit sketchy on me picking him up. I tried to give him a bath today and he did not like that one bit. And tonight when I got home from work ( been thunder storming for some time tonight) he gaped at me when trying to pick him up. I was able to pick him up about 20 minutes later but when I put him in his tote to feed him he freaked trying to get out. I thought maybe it has something to do with the bath or thunderstorm. Any ideas on how to get him to trust me, especially since I like him and don't mean him any harm at all. Sorry so long and thank you for your time

I just got a couple new babies tonight. But have owned beardies before. Every beardie has its own personality. I like feeding in totes as well. Makes it easier. As for the seemingly aggressive tendency. Its not you. Your baby is new to your life. Not used to the world around it. How would you feel if you were put in a plastic carrier and had food handed to you and you didn't know where your family was. You might be a little frightened right? Give it time. You're doing fine.
