Hello All,
I live near Pittsburgh, Pa and just got my first Bearded Dragon today! He was a birthday gift from my hubby I am so excited and am already in love! I think it is a male, he is almost 2 months. If anyone can tell me how to find out for sure the sex, Please let me know. Still working on some names. I like Oshi, but my hubby says u cant name a dessert lizzard a chinese sounding name, hehe. So I guess I am still workin on it. I am excited to join this group and hope to learn all there is to know about these amazing creatures :study: I look forward to meeting all of you and becoming a part of your cool community u have here! Try looking at this page from this site, it explains how to go about sexing your beardie though it may be a bit early with your little one.

Thank u for the welcome. I think I might have a boy. Either way I decided to name him/her Arei :!: Since he was my bday present and I am an Aries, i figured it fit and i think Arie is a cool name and it works either way :lol: This site is great and I have already learned so much!

Hi! Thank u very much for the welcome and birthday wishes! Ya every like 7 years or something like that my bithday ends up being on Easter, and this gift has been the best gift I have ever gotten. My hubby is great, at first I wanted a Mojave ball python, but everyone in my family is afaid of snakes but me, so we went to the reptile shop and Little Arie was just toooooo cute, so I switched from a die hard snake lover to a Beardie Lover, they are so fun, I cant wait til we get our 90 degree weather so Arie Can go outside! Thanks so much

They are just the coolest aren't they! I always thought I wanted to get a gecko but so glad that when I started my research everywhere recommended beardies! Don't rub it in about the warm weather you guys get! My poor beardies wud die of the cold if I took them outside, even in our pathetic excuse for Irish summer!! :lol:

Welcome Amy (and fellow Aries). Already we have so much in common (aside from April birthdays and the love of beardies, I have 3). My husband also got me one for my birthday this year (which isn't until next Saturday) however he was a rescue and couldn't wait that long. If you would like to meet him, there is a post about Zilla on the Beardie Rescue forum.

How lucky your birthday lands on Easter every 7 years or so. Mine landed on Easter when I was 7 years old and I will have to wait until I'm around 70 before it happens again. Oh well.

HAHAHAHA!! :lol: I wanted a ball python too! I basically have the same story you had! I was at the pet store looking for decor for my enclosure that was going to be for a ball python... saw this little beardie and fell in love! Soooo much more amusing than the ball python they had right next to it!
