Hi my name is Susan! I have always wanted a bearded dragon, so when my son turned 8 he wanted to spend his birthday money on a lizard. So off to petsmart we went, he picked out a super cute mountian horned dragon. The next morning he was dead :( So we took him back and got the other one, it was listless, and looked like he was going to die too(I suspect they where wild caught and very ill). So we took him back aswell. Then we decided to get a beardie. Well little "Spikey dragon" was a hit from the start. He was zooming all over the place and eating everything is sight! It's hard to believe the little 6 inch beardie is the same 15 inch monster we have now lol! This december I found an add for an aggressive beardie, from the pics she looked like a hatchling, but they had her for a couple months(she'd be approx 4 months old). So I emailed them and went to see her. The poor thing was skin and bones, you could see every rib and her hip bones. She was 25grams when I got her and now 5 weeks later she is up to 110grams, has had a very thick shed and is not aggressive in one bit! She was just starving!!!!
Those are my beardie slaves lol! I also have 4 kids, 6 corn snakes, 2 tokay geckos, 1 golden gecko, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 4 rabbits and 3 gerbils. I also breed feeder mice, mealworms, supers and crickets.

Welcome
I have 4 rescues. My first 2 were grossly neglected and in bad shape but with lots of everything they are better! What sweet
dragons they are! Rescues are special dragons! They know you are trying to help them and they respond. Some believe the
theory they aren't smart, some believe the theory they don't have any higher brain function for emotions. It was a theory
and believed the earth was flat...wrong. It was a theory and believed tomatoes were poison,....wrong. It was a theory and
believed mentally ill were nothing more than animals or posessed.....wrong. It was theory and believed that the retarded
individuals couldn't feel or learn anything....wrong. That's the thing with theory. It's just a theory til there is indisputable
proof. No one can convince me to believe the theory that bearded dragons don't think, don't feel, don't respond, only on instinct
and don't care about us. All you have to do is care for a sick, neglected rescue bearded dragon for a short time and you'll know it's
just another theory waiting to be proven wrong! They do respond to the love and care we give them! You are wonderful for rescuing
the starving little one! She knows you love her!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
