Hi Everyone !! OMG !! What a site !! Sorry being rude !!
My name is Paul and i have just recently become a beardie SLAVE !! These little guy's certainly know how to thrive on human emotion !! My little man is called "GIZMO" i got him on the 6th december 2008 and i was told he was about 6weeks old !! He has created HAVOC !! in doing all the things that it seems other beardies do !! WON'T EAT !! WON'T DRINK !! WON'T POO !! only when HE wants to !! He has'nt eaten any veg or fruit since i got him and he gets it fresh and varied daily !! He will not drink but allows me to drip water from my finger into his mouth !! that is until he's bored and clamps his mouth tightly shut and scuttles away !! As for the crix !! someday's he'll eat 10 other days only 2 / 3 !! seems as though he's not keen on the black crix and prefers the green ones !! I dust with REPTON on every serving !! seems as though i've got a faddy eater !! Also my little GIZMO hates bath time with a vengence !! All this aside i love him to bits and will be his slave for as long as he needs me to be !! Any advise is always appreciated !! think this site is fabulous !! NEWBIE !! PAUL & GIZMO

hello and welcome to you and gizmo . sounds to me like little gizmo is going to have a fine time turning you into a proper beardie slave , which seems to me you are and loving it . but seems to that gizmo is going through a little bit of relocation stress to , not just to worry you but to get settled in . patience , soon you will have a wonderful little eater on your hands and just keep offering the veggies to , it will take a little time for gizmo to really start liking them but don't give up on them . as for drinking the dripping from fingers is fine , even from a dropper and a soak in a bath will keep gizmo hydrated and happy . enjoy and welcome again to you and gizmo

Hello and welcome Paul and Gizmo. Sounds like you gonna have your hands full, but you will love every minute. lol, it will take time for Gizmo to train you..lol. Coopers is right, just give the little feller some time and before long he will be eating out of your hand. With Rocky what I had to do when he was a baby was to keep his green constant. I found he loved mustard greens so thats what I gave him and he would eat. When I tried to mix it up he wouldn't eat them so I stayed with the mustard only at first and as he got older I slowly mixed in some carrots and spinach (spinach is good for the dragon but only everyonce in a while, too much or too often is not good). Rocky also loved small to medium mealworms (now he's on the superworms and looooooves them, along with crickets). Rocky is five months old now and about 14 1/2" long and his eating is great...uummmm....sometimes too great....lol. But anyway, give him and yourself time and soon you will be saying DO YOU EVER GET FULL!! :roll: .....lol. Have a great time with "The Giz" and good luck.
