Finally, after doing a bit of lurking on the forums picking up hints and tips on looking after Beardies, I've decided to say hi and introduce both myself and our new addition to our little zoo!
I would like to introduce Kiyo, my first bearded dragon and a proper poser!
We have had him a couple of months now and thanks to this forum I have made loads of changes to his home to make sure he is a healthy and happy beardie. Good to finally find somewhere that is in consensus on certain issues when all you get is conflicting or poor information from pet shops.
If you are wondering about the plastic tub below my arm in the pic, it's because Kiyo is going through a base-jumping phase and will gladly fling himself off most high places. So now I'm handing him closer to the floor.
Fortunately I can normally catch him before he lands, but the tub is there to stop him landing on and skidding across the laminate floor (Kiyo does not bounce, I found that out the hard way when he first tried that trick, fortunately he didn't do himself a mischief. Talk about heart stopping moment!).
That's enough of me waffling, I'll hopefully be on these forums frequently to pick up loads more tips. Se you soon!
