Hi all, finally saying hello here

Hi everybody. I've posted a few times, but thought I'd finally intoduce myself here.

We got our beardie, Zilla, about 8 months ago from Petsmart and hes grown like crazy!! He hasnt been eating much lately and I think he's gotten a little spoiled and likes to only eat out of my hands. Oops. LOL

He loves the kitties and will come down from his basking spot and put his nose to the glass when they come in and say hello. He doesnt mind them at all when i have him out, but if hes going to run around, I lock them up in a different room.

I would post a picture of him, but I'm not sure how........

Oh and I finally saw the hip wiggle just before a poop that I had only heard about here. It was hysterical!!!

beautiful boy. i was looking in the last pic of him basking and the temp said 90. that may be a reason he isn't eating. you temps may be too cold.

I have wondered that. We have no idea what the actual temp is on his basking spot. It feels a lot hotter than where that thermometer, but we really need to get a probe one to be sure. He hasn't shed in months, but I'm sure hes still in the growing age. 9 months old now.

Yeah its supost to be 105. I think you have it a little too cold for him to prosses his food properly

Ya know what? It was actually to hot recently. After reading these posts I went and got a probe themometer because its more accurate. On his actual tree under the basking light, it was rising up to about 120!!!! We raised the light more and moved the tree around, and wouldn't you know it, he ate a really good breakfast and has been the most active that he has been in about a month.

We have three other thermometers in there, but never had one ON the log under the light.

I feel terrible....... But hopefully tomorrow hell eat like the little piggie he used to be.
