Had a look at the forum a few times over the past few weeks and finally thought i'd register, since the information on here has been great and everyone seems cool
I have a 'baby' beardie (think I'll call Draco a baby for quite some time yet lol). Draco's about two months old and we have had him just over six weeks. He (or so we are saying until we know otherwise) is doing really well, seems healthy, well fed (on a variety of greens and a staple of crickets - dusted with calcium and gut loaded of course). His tale is thick at the base, which I hear is a good sign (he also has a gorgeous long tale, since we got him young before his clutchmates could bite it off), his limbs are nicely thickening out and he holds himself up a lot which I also hear is a good sign
Most of the time he is a nice milky colour underneath which I am told means he is nice and happy/relaxed. He occasionally darkens but it never seems to be for long, and he seems a LOT more relaxed when me handle him over the past two weeks. Rarely tries to run off, his colour calms down quickly after getting him out of his viv and he likes a good chin and head rub, and seems to enjoy his baths now (after a few seconds of trying to run up the side of the bath, he then does funny little circles and dips his head under the water over and over to have a wash).
All in all he is doing great and becoming tamer by the day, although he sometimes still tries to run off when we put our hand into the viv to pick him up, I'm sure he will grow out of this (hope he will), but he calms down as soon as he is out so I guess that's the main thing. He also takes crickets from our fingers so I guess that's a good sign!?
Anyway sorry for the essay lol, but jsut thought I'd give a full introduction for both Draco and me
Cheers,
Fal
