hi all
what do i do my daughter has been on half term back to school yesterday and guess what Hewi is refusing to eat what do i do he has a limitless supply of calci worms he has everything any normal beardie would want but she went back to school and he will not eat fed him sweet potato and beef yesterday today he would not eat he is hiding/sulking otherwise active only when she is in the room but on strike. got out the syringe tonight and he went straight to his dish and ate every worm in there lol no dubias this dragon is totally spoiled what do i do help :? will he resume normal eating habits or should i worry he is besotted really scary

Try the roaches and crickets rather than worms; the worms are fatty and they love them, my Bearded refuses to eat her roaches after a taste of worms. Give the worms now and again as a treat, not as a staple food and your beardie should go back to eating normally.
When a beardie isn't eating, it could indicate stress, due to a change of surroundings, diet, or anything else really! Keep to your normal routine and ensure fresh water and greens are supplied daily, and keep the temperatures steady and between the correct maximums and minimums. (See care sheets). May just be a funny turn for your Beardie! If you have any concerns about your Beardie's condition, report to a vet immediately, although he should be fine after a few days of normal routine.

Keep us posted.

I thought calci could be used as a staple diet i fill up his worm dish and give him a huge salad in the morning and she feeds dubias when she gets home from school all has been fine until half term he has gone on strike since she went back to school he hides when she is not there but basks happily when she is there its every time there is a break in routine i worry about him so much i dont know what to do what can i do he refuses everything when she is not there. he has no stress marks and is super laid back he is horizontal lol his temps are good 105 hot side 75 cool CHE at night (pretty cold here at the moment) poops are good no parasites 14inches 400grams lots of kisses and snuggles absolutely spoiled 5ft viv help

Huh. Not sure why I didn't know calci worms were BSF larvae.
Yes, BSF larvae is a great staple. Wax worms, mealworms, etc etc are bad staples, but BSF larvae are not. The problem with them is that they are a bit expensive compared to other feeders, so it might cost you more in the long run.
How used to you is your dragon? If your daughter can't be there to feed her, you can try to make the dragon accustomed to you and you feeding her so that she starts eating more with you.
Another thing you want to consider is to start feeding him more veggies, seeing as your dragon is getting closer to being an adult and should eventually transition into eating mostly veggies and insects every now and then.

It might have, actually. Beef, chicken and pork are all very high in phosphorus, and that can be bad for a bearded dragon. I don't know the exact effects, but that might be why you are having issues.
You have to make sure what you are feeding your bearded dragon is ok for them to eat.

You can syringe feed baby food chicken mixed in with baby food squash if he totally goes of food. However table ready beef that humans would eat is not advisable.

I need help
Hewi is still not interested in food i called into the vet on Friday and got him Oxbow carnivore care and we are syringe feeding him at the moment 3 times per day and he pooped normally. How long does he need to stay on the oxbow. He seems to be alert and moving around ok. but not eating i need to know how long before i take him for a check at the vet. i dont want to stress him out by taking him when not necessary yet.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
