Skeeter has been doing much better. He has been eating very good lately. He has made my job alot easier! He has taught himself to poop in a certain spot! His food dish, I'm thinking of getting a second dish so one can be for vegis and the other his own personal port a potty. It is pretty cool. He will wake up, walk over to his vegi bowl, relieve himself, and start to bask. I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!

Jodie is abit of a pain in the bottom (pardon the pun) were this is concerned. She will only poo in her basking spot, but then refuses to be anywhere near it. This is rubbish when im working, because after pooing she will not bask all day due to the poo being in her spot.

Female dragon lol hassle hassle hassle :) :)

We've been fortunate. Out of our 5 dragons, 4 poop in their daily morning bath and 1 poops in his tank, but always in the same area, same as you, close or on basking spot, then spends the time waiting for it to be picked up on the cool side of his tank. Luckily my husband is retired, so he's there for the wonderful job. That's why all our dragons are on repticarpet but Rubio, his tank is newspaper under the basking 1/2 of the tank and carpet on the cool 1/2 of the tank. It was driving me crazy until I realized, he just doesn't water, so he drinks lots of water every day instead of having a daily bath.

Balrog prefers to poop on my daugther... He does it at least once a week! She's seven, and she is not bothered at all by it, I guess that's why Balrog feels confident enough on her to let himself go...!

i think they just crap wherever they feel like it. thats happend to me twice before. if you get another bowl, he will probabaly crap in that one too haha dumb beardies...but you gotta love them. whats the most annoying to me is when (like today) i change the substrate and it looks so nice and clean and then within a day theres a huge crap right in the middle of the tank. ahhh man....

My son my pet just turned two and is showing all the signs that he's ready to start potty training, but I can't get him to sit on the pot for longer than 5 seconds (I've tried a variety of potties). I bought a toilet seat, and he won't sit on that either - in fact when I put him on the toilet he screams bloody murder. I tried just taking his nappy off and letting him run around naked, but after a week of cleaning up pee and no progress I decided to let that idea go too. My MIL told me she had her sons fully potty trained by 18 months. Her 'strategy' was to put them on the pot from 11 months onwards and there they had to stay until they did their business - even if it took 2 hours. Then she'd take them off the pot for an hour, 350-030 and put them back on it until they did their business again. She loves to tell me how she spanked my BIL (starting at 18 months) on his bare bottom whenever he had an accident. While I admire her dedication to cruelty, it's not something I'll even consider doing. 70-646 I don't know what to do anymore... and I have the in laws in my ear all the time making me feel like a 'bad' or lazy mom because my son is still in nappies. Believe me, if I could have him out of them tomorrow I would - I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my second and the idea of having two in nappies isn't a fun one. 70-620 Any ideas to help the potty training along? I don't want to push my son, but now my husband is nagging at me too and I can't handle all of them in my hormonal state.

Primo (my dragon) poops wherever he is lying, and believe me, he won't even move away from it. He has no problem laying in it, which I have heard many people say their beardies do this as well, but this makes him rather stinky, and sometimes stuff is even stuck to the bottom of him, once I lifted him up and it was wet from you know what... lol, in my opinion as long as many others beardies arent the most clean reptiles, but hey, I love them no matter what :)

If you bathe them regularly they tend to just poo in the water. Obie otherwise always poos in one corner of the tank so that she can escape to the far corner... that crap can really stink. :puke:

So it's not just my bearded dragon that can send you running from the room? That's a relief!

I run into the same problem with Dax. Sometimes it's pretty gross. :puke:

To the OP, my beardie has pooped just about everywhere in his tank. Not lucky enough for him to pick one convenient spot yet. ;)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
