He's driving me bonkers!

I love Linus, I really do. That little stubborn reptile had me wrapped around his little orange feet. But he is driving me up the wall! Over the last week hes gone from my happy, but stubborn little lazybones into a little crazy ball of attitude.

From the moment he notices I have gotten up in the morning until I let him out, he starts pounding at the glass and fussing to be let out. No snuggle time, just dashing around the house like a speed machine.

He refuses to eat anything at all, even his favorite worms, but he is shedding, so maybe the refusal to eat is that? Shedding doesn't usually put him off food, not for long anyway. Ever since he woke up from his winter slowdown he had been eating steadly, so this is surprising.

Now I did recently move him into a larger enclosure, 4x2x 15 inches tall. He has a zoo med high output 10.00 uvb running all along the back of the enclosure, and the bulb is brand new. his temps range from 85 to 101 so he has a range of temps to choose from. he has all of his old furniture except for his old basking ledge, which would have placed him to close to the lights, but he does have wooden branches to climb on, and his old hide and fluffy couch to lounge on.

I swear worrying about that lizard is going to drive me completly round the bend.

The joys of having a young male beardie in breeding season .... fear not .... you will survive all this turmoil and in a few months he'll likely be into snuggles and chilling out next to you .

Oh I hope so :)

How did you guys survive the first years with your first beardies? I think half my gray hair has his little scales all over it.

Yeah I remember that stage Lol, as soon as cheeky woke up and seen me or the wife he was dancing all over the glass!

Our lounge is beardie proof so we just let him out to run around like an ***** for ages and tire himself out then he was ready for cuddles lol. He will grow out of the stage and calm down. You just need to accept you not his owner you are his slave and give him what he wants :)

It's stressful when they young, its still stressful now almost 3 years later and he definitely is the cause of a lot of grey hair.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
