Hero warming up to me

Today has been a somewhat exciting day. Hero actually liked his bath today. Usually he looks out like please get me out of here. Today he moved around and actually drank water while taking a bath. He is shedding right now so that may be the reason he has decided he likes baths now. He stayed in for a while-not the usual 2-3 minutes.
Also, tonight was the first time Hero slept on me. He settled down and crawled up to my neck and fell asleep. I was a lil concerned about him being cold so I warmed up a wash cloth in the microwave and put it over him. He slept for a while.
Today was also the first time he fought me when I tried to put him in his viv. I thought it was so cute and am finally seeing what everyone has been saying about their beardie being so sweet. Usually I lower him into the viv and he jumps onto his basking spot. Today he wanted to stay with me. Prett cool.

As for Hero's name...not really sure. I had my beardie for about a week and was thinking of names like Buddy, Puff...and wanted something original. I was reading something on line and saw the word Hero and decided I liked that as his name ( I think it is a boy). BTW he like his bath again today and spashed around a whole lot. too cute!

Dasher just kinda relaxes and closes his eye's in the bath, he won't swim whatsoever :?

I didn't really do anything to get him to play. I have been giving him baths in a small plastic container and usually he stands all the way up like he does not like the water touching him and looks up like let me out. Today though he kind of squatted down into the water and just splashed his tail and legs around. It honestly looked like he was trying to scratch something off of his head or back. Not sure if the water tickeled or something. I will sometimes splash the water around a lil but thats it. Ill have to take some pics.

Awwwww!!!!!!!! I'm jealous! My young'un is still extremely wary of me and loathes his baths. Hopefully, that will change soon enough! I'm building him a terrarium with sliding front doors. I'm hoping he'll be more comfortable with me offering my hand and arm at eye-level, and not from above. I can't wait to put up my first post that my beardie actually doesn't want to return to his tank!!!
