I have had Hero since Dec 23rd. He is 7 inches. I just addes a MVB light in his tank. I fed him this morning and when he was done he went to the top of his basking platform (has 3 levels) and then later I noticed he was still sitting up there but with his mouth open. I know that can mean they are cooling off but wouldn't he just move further away from the light? I dont want him to over heat. Is this normal for them to sit in the hottest spot then try to cool themselves down?
