We got a bearded dragon on December 24th. Is it normal for him to still seem scared of us? Like if u got ot pick him up he runs? What can I do to help? He will eat out of our hands... should we be concerned?

Some of them take a bit longer to adjust than others. It's good that he will eat from your hand and has a good appetite. Just give him some more time. If he'll allow it, try holding him in the evening. Let him rest on your chest and see if he'll fall asleep. I found that to be a good way to bond with my guys.

I agree, lay him on your chest, that seemed to help Draco the most when I got him. He likes to be wrapped in a blanket too (I use a new wash cloth) he also sleeps in at night and wraps himself in it.

Yeah it's fine, babies are usually not really scared so much, but more antsy than adults. When I got my dragon, he was squirmy at first. Just regularly take him out for treats and keep em with ya. Trust me, when your dragon is an adult, hes just gonna lay there if you take him out!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
