Ok so about 3 weeks ago I was at work and I found a full grown bearded dragon in a grave yard next to my work so I took it home cause we had a cage from our old lizard and he has been acting funny and I never had one before so I don't know if he is mad or just doing it cause me and my boyfriend read different things and some say ya he is mad and some say no ok well his bearded gets black when I am in the room and bobs his head then today he had his head the whole way back with his mouth open and my boyfriend was holding him and he jumped out at him and with not knowing his back round cause I am sure someone just dropped him off cause he would have had to cross a 5 lane high way to get to the grave yard .... I don't know if it's just me or what and I keep telling him it will be ok he aint leaving but i don't know what to do cause I don't want him not likening me it's just when I'm in the room and if I'm in the room he comes to wear I'm standing and looks at me

dragons are very territorial, and seeing that he's in a new 'home', he's trying to set his boundaries. I recommend giving him a week to get used to his new surroundings before you even try to handle him. Take a shirt of yours or your boyfriend's, one that hasn't been washed so it still smells like you and put it in the tank with him to get used to your smell. Also make sure that you have the proper heating and lighting and are feeding him appropriately
