i found my girl tonight right when her lights went off...she had a lady bug on her mouth right at the tip that had gotten into her cage when i took it away i noticed the smell thats the sign that the lady bug secreted its stuff...whatever it is...whats going to happen now that she has licked it? or well im not sure if she did lick it but i know it was there on her mouth.

has this every happened to anyone?

can i do anything? im super scared that its poisonous to her. has anyone else had this happen?

I bet that was a bit scary.You said lady bug right and she did not eat it?She will be fine.It is lightening bugs,stink bugs and certain spiders that are the reall concern.If she had eaten it she might have had a bit of a tummy ache but since she didnt I honestly dont think there will be any issues.You can give her a little water just to flush her kidneys just in case but I am betting she wont miss a beat on this one and she will be just fine.Now breathe :wink:

Hey Thats ok because if there was an issue you would have needed to take quick action so better to post the question and not waste time.FYI that stuff she licked is the ladybugs blood it is a defense mechanism and it does smell foul but it is harmless although I wouldnt use them as feeders...lol.

ok ok...im breathing i figured because it smelled bad that it was lol thanks for the quick reply...ive been stressing and praying someone gets to me oh btw totally of topic...i cant fit a picture from my digital camera onto the avatar thingy...i want everyone to see my little girly

Your Welcome.As for the avatar you have to resize it if you go to user control panel it tells you what the size limit is.I also think there is an image resizer link there unless it has since been removed.
