I don't know if this would be ER or Health but I am getting worried. My male Jason won't open his eye. He has been to the vet 2 times and was put under. The vet opened his eye and there is nothing wrong with it. No scratches, or infection. Jason is not kept on sand or wood, its tile and a blanket. I have the correct set up ( I have had him for 6 years ) It has been about 2 weeks or so and still no eye open. And a little history on him - he was a rescue and his other eye had been perforated and doesn't work. So he is blind right now - He has been hand fed so that is ok...I just dont know what to do!!!

the bulb is about 3 months old. the temps are 105 and 78 - 83 on cool side. he is in a 65 gallon enclosure and the light is above him as he can't see where to go - hense no climbing. he gets a bath every day as there is not alot of humidity here

I guess I'm wondering if we should make another trip to the vet?? I'm not worried about the expense (I have payments set up with the vet as I have 2 other dragons that I get checked also)

ahhaah I had a feeling it was. Compact fluorescent lights have been known to wreak havoc on bearded dragon's eyes. As soon as you can, shut that thing off. He is better off without UVB than that bulb on. Get yourself a reptiSUN 10.0. Make sure it is the fluorescent tube not the compact florescent. Also do not get a repti-GLO 10. if all the store near you has is reptiglo bulbs then get the 8.0. But again, NO COMPACT FLUORESCENT BULBS of ANY KIND

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
