Kookie was diagnosed with coccidia and the vet prescribed Albon treatment for 8 weeks. I thought that was too long to be on Albon so I treated him for 4 weeks, ending on May 1. I was also giving him Benebac but he didn't get it down every day because he wouldn't eat what I was offering it to him on. I didn't know how else to give it to him. His poo has been very runny lately and he just hasn't acted up to par the last couple of weeks. I decided to try him on Reptaid before I took in a fecal. I felt he probably still had coccidia and I didn't want to put him back on Albon. (I don't really trust his vet but can't find another one.) He's just had Reptaid for 4 days. About a week ago he started being quite dark and not eating properly. His light was a Megaray 100 watt and I think it was too hot. He wouldn't stay right under it. I took the temps using the digital probe and on the very bottom of the tank it was 109. Yesterday I changed it back to the Reptisun 10. He's staying right under the light now on his basking spot. Just yesterday I noticed the yellow coloring. He's not eating properly. The only thing he'll eat is PWs. I was out for a couple of days and just got them in yesterday. Today will be the third day he hasn't pooed. So, does this look like yellow fungus? If so, I know I'm supposed to treat him with Betadine, Witch Hazel, and Lamisil. How do I put the Witch Hazel on? Just rub it on with my fingers? I feel so sorry for him and I'm getting so frustrated! I've tried so hard for everything to be perfect for him.
EDIT:
Actually, he's doing a lot better today. His coloring is better, not dark like it was. He's active, he pooed. It seems a little green but it's not runny like it has been. He's better today than he has been in 2 weeks. Thank God.
