Help with UVB

Hi Everyone,

I bought a 40gl tank for my bearded dragon from pet smart. It is the Zilla XL Desert Series and came with a Zilla desert Series UVB bulb, which I found out is really bad for his eyes and I noticed he was closing his eyes a lot. I have since ordered a reptisun 10.0 and It will get here within 7 - 10 days.

My question is it better to keep the uvb light off until I get my reptisun? or will going 7 - 10 days with out a uvb light be worse for my dragon?

It would definitely be better to have the UVB off. If it is warm enough you can take the beardie outside for about 30mins a day for some natural UVB and that may help.
