Help with fixture?

I ordered this light to supplement the 26 watt repti 10.0 compact...

Just curious if i need a special hood or can i just go to walmart and buy one that fits and it work fine??

can someone point me into the proper direction (id prefer not to spend 70 80 bucks on one specifically designed for this if i dont have to..

Plan on just mounting it right inside the tank

You will need a 36'' T5 fixture for that light. ZooMed makes a hood style fixture that will hold it. You can also get a grow light fixture that will work with it.

thanks for response but i already ordered it ... i decided that saving a few bucks was not worth the health of my girl

Saving a few bucks up front certainly isn't worth it. The high quality fixtures and bulbs last a lot longer than the others so in the long run you'll probably wind up saving money anyway. It may be an exception to the rule (and I measure output regularly with a Solarmeter) but my T5 bulb is going strong after over 3 years of use.
