Help with fitting ferret leash on a bearded dragon

Petsmart was out of reptile leashes, so I decided to try out a ferret leash instead. I am unsure where to loop Darwin through. I initally figured the most secure would be around his neck and then around the front of his back legs. The middle part turned out to be too short. I tried to put it behind his front legs and in front of his back legs, but the middle part is still too short for that, and it was easy for Darwin to wiggle out of it. So after about 10 scratches, Darwin's first full black beard, and an hour of frustration, I am at a loss. Does anyone else use this or a similar harness?

Pictures, descriptions, telling me to give up, return it, and get a reptile harness...any one of those things would help greatly!

That thing looks easier to use than the Reptile leash that I had for my Iguana, it had clips everywhere

Return it and get one of these. They work wonderfully plus you're supporting a member here and you can pick your own snazzy colors

How big is your dragon? That is what I use and never had a problem with it... but my guy is 22 in... And my other one is 19 inches.

Right now he's 16" and still growing. Maybe he's still a little small for it? I'm just unsure where to put the straps on him.

Return it, and buy one beardie harness from forum member OgleR. Those are the best.

Yeah that's where I'm going next if I can't get this blasted thing to work. Darwin's already shown me how much he hates it so I'm leaning toward returning it.

I bought me harnesses from OgleR and my beardie love them they have the freedom to roam around and I can always find them since the cord is so long.
The price is totally right as well I bought all 4 of mine frmr christene she is the best when it comes to Beardie Harnesses.
