Hi there....it sounds like you're getting some nutrition in him, that's great, and now he has a chance to become a healthy dragon. :) Will he eat on his own ? He is actually not emaciated, just a bit underweight, definitely needs some good food and UVB. There are no real signs of MBD [ metabolic bone disease] , and the uneven shed is not dangerous, it looks bad but is not a health threat.....even healthy dragons have uneven sheds like that. As long as you get him hydrated [ your syringe feedings will do more that the bathing, just add extra water to the syringe ] and regular baths every other day to help him shed, he should bounce back. Let him settle in before giving him meds....if he was not diagnosed with a heavy parasite load, then he shouldn't be given dewormers or antibiotics at random. Hopefully he will perk up for you soon. Let him rest, just food + hydration for now and he should gain some strength. His nails need to be trimmed, that should be east to do while he's lethargic. Just cut the tips off.....if you are unsure how to do it let the vet. If you cut them and it bleeds [ you shouldn't have any problem ] just put a dab of cornstarch on it.

He is alot worse than the pictures show. His eyes are bulging out the one is gone. He hasn't had uvb in years if ever. The guys says he hasn't eaten in almost a month. He can barley swallow. He can't walk. He can barley breath.

And actually he is emaciated. He has no meat he is all bone. I know bc I done this before. And that's not she'd he was fried under a massive light in a sun porch with just a heating pad. When u pick him up there is anything to him but skin and bone. And he was only Givin a few crickets a day. Amd couple pieces of dried fruit once a day and no water at all. Yes he is very emaciated. And can't eat on his own.

He probably will have more problems if he was over heated + dehydrated. That alone can cause them to go downhill quickly. Keep up the good work with the syringe feeding...that will do the most good. But he is not burned, that is definitely uneven shed. I've owned + raised 1,000's of beardies for 20 years and that's just uneven shed, not burn. If you want to ask the mods. on here they will tell you the same. I'm not trying to argue with you, just want to put your mind at ease so you don't have that extra worry on your mind. And yes he's thin but not emaciated. If his kidneys are damaged from dehydration, that may be the biggest problem....hopefully he'll recover.

Yes unfortunately he did not make it. I almost thought he was getting better but came home and he was gone. But at least he was happy and feeling better the last few days of his life and that was worth it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
