I'm about to work from 3am to 3pm 4 days a week. I need help on how I should Drogon please. I got him Saturday and I've been doing daylight hours from 6am to 8pm. He ate good at first but yesterday he would only eat 2 crickets all day. I feed him at 8am, noonish, and at 5 or 6pmm his temp is good, 80 on cool and 100 to 105 on basking. He started shedding day night. I worried he is not getting enough nutrition. He is 5 to 6 in long.

Order some calci or Phoenix worms. These can be placed in a dish + can't crawl out. These can be placed in the tank when you leave in the a.m [ just don't turn HIS lights on]. No mealworms though, they can easily cause impaction in a small beardie. His shedding plus his being new + stressed are adding to his lack of appetite, give him some time.

Thank you so much I didn't thinkbi could leave them in there for long so 12 hourrs would be ok. His lights will be on a timer. I take his water out at night to lower humidity should I put it in when I leave for work.

Lights on a timer set to come on 6am.

Suggest either for meal 1
BSF maggots / phoenix worms or silkworms : leave these in a feeder dish (silkworms on a fresh mulberry leaf or a bit of chow .... if beardie nibbles the leaf or chow , that's OK, mulberry leaf is edible and nutritious) , they will be there for the beardie when it wakes up , leave enough so he can graze on them til you return ( more than you think he will eat is a good idea , if there are left overs - they simply go back with the bugs for another day ).

other meal/s when you are home
crickets , roaches or locusts , gutloaded (calcium rich greens) and dusted LIGHTLY
Add salad when you get home, this will ensure beardie gets a good feed of insect protein first.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
