Hello. I've had my bearded dragon now for about a month and a half almost 2 months. He was doing great looked and acted extremely healthy was eating and active. But now he has been sick for about a week now. He will not eat any crickets that I put in front of him. He lays around almost half asleep. Opens his eyes when I pick him up. The past 24 hours I have been trying to get him to eat baby food but he won't even lick it off his face. Occasionally taking a bite or two but that's it. Been soaking him in warm water to hydrate. His poop iso very runny with a small solid amount in the middle. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Or how I can get some food in him??

There could be a few possibilities. It may have to do with the cage setup, or your bearded dragon may have mites (possibly intestinal).

What is your lighting system? It may have to do with lack UVB. Other details about your cage will help too.

If your bearded dragon is just acting tired (but is an adult) it could just be brumation.

If none of these are the case, I recommend taking him to a vet.

Since he got sick I moved him into a new tank. With NO sand just a small towel to be on. Very little to climb on so he doesn't exert more energy than needed.

The lighting set up is as follows: halogen lights (red for night, white for day) with (it do believe) a t10 zoomed reptisun 10.0 florescent bulb.

How could he have gotten mites? Only feed him store bought crickets and store bought vegetables

Update as of now. I got him to eat 1 silkworm earlier this afternoon.

I suggest discontinuing use of the red light overnight as that can disturb sleep. Instead I would use a low wattage ceramic heat emitter. Just enough to bump the temps into the 70s overnight. A bit of a cooldown is natural and safe.

Is your UVB a T8 tube? How far is it from the basking area? Do you have any clear plastic in front of the bulb? That will intercept UVB rays and render the light ineffective. A T8 should be mounted about 6'' above the basking area for optimal output.

What are the temperatures in the enclosure during the day? It's important to have accurate temperature readings. You want the basking area to be between about 100-110 with a gradient down to about 75-80 on the cool side during the day.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
