Help Sexing Samson?

I could use some opinions on Samson's sex. He is 6 months old and 15 1/2 " and while it looks to me as if he is really a "he", I would appreciate some second opinions. I am thinking he can stay Samson and not Samson Sue? Hoping these are good enough photos, but if not, let me know and I will take better ones tomorrow.

Well..my guess would be Samson is a Samantha..LOL. There is a Care Sheet and Article section on here that has a great article on sexing your beardie. Judging by the one vertical bump by the vent and the lack of "nodules" spanning across one back leg to the other..I'd say she's female. Either or..I hope you enjoy him/her just the same.

HAHA! I have been calling him Samson Sue just in case. I did look at a couple of detailed sexing photos, including the one you mentioned and just couldn't be sure. I thought he looked a little of both and since that isn't possible, I thought I would get some help. She has my heart, so it really doesn't make a difference. Thank you!

HAHA! Not that I would try it, but I think I could hang him/her by his tail and he would just sit there. I have a real sweetheart here and he is so mellow and loving. He gets a lot of kisses for his patience.

I am not sure, but I thought I saw the two lumps with a dip in the middle in the base of the tail. It's a little hard to be sure with that pic position but he looks like a he to me.

I see this too, but not as clearly as some of the pictures I have looked at for sexing show. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow in better lighting as I think I had my camera in night mode by accident.

My boyfriend walked in when I was talking these and asked me what I was doing. You should have seen the look on his face! I haven't seen him since. :lol:

When I looked @ Scorches tail for the first time, I was told by the hubby to be careful not to pull her tail off! :laughhard:

Yeah..now that I look at these pics again..I do see the two lumps..but it could also be a shadow too..it's hard to tell.
What I've noticed, and I can only speak for myself when I say this, in alot of the pictures that were male..they have very pronounced "nodules" running from almost like one thigh to the other. Females can have them, but they are usually not as pronounced. I can't see one nodule on Samson/Samson Sue. But that's my own opinion.
Tell your B.F. to relax..he has nothing to worry about..you already know he's a him..LOL.

..Thank you...much better pictures. Yup..from what I've seen of pictures and my own beardie..that's a girl..LOL. You'll just have to rename her Sammie..that's all.
Tell your B.F. there is nothing wrong with you..it's normal to want to know what sex your pet is so you can name it.
