Help! Previose Beardie Died, don't want to lose another!

I had an infant who turned all yellow and then died while I was out away and he had a sitter.
Now my new big teenage dragon is acting lethargic and is yellowing. He fell off his tree earlier and he's been very skittish!

Your dragon looks just fine, nonstressed and healthy. The yellows are his natural colors (could you other beardie could have had yellow fungus perhaps?) it is normal for them to gain color as they grow.

Lethargy can be caused by low temps,impaction, or the wrong uvb. Some beardies judt get lazy as they age. Hopefully someone comes in with better advice on this.

We can't tell what may be wrong with your dragon just by the pictures - as said before, he looks good here. But you are right that he should not fall off his 'tree' - they don't normally do that.

What we can tell is if you have things in your care/husbandry that could negatively impact your dragon's health.

So, with that idea in mind:

Do you have a UVB and if so, what kind is it? It would be good to know the strength, too.
Do you have a bright heat light, and if so, do you have it set up near the UVB with an area to bask?
And what is the temperature under the basking light?
How many hours in the day do you leave your lights on for him?
What do you use to measure temperatures?
What do you feed him and how often?
Do you use any supplements on his food? If so, what do you use and how often?
How old is your dragon?

I feed him crickets with calcium and vitamin d powder, in the morning meal worms, I have two 100 watt bulbs, ones uvb and ones broad spectrum light I leave on at night.
He's been acting a lot better recently, I''ll worry less about his yellow color. Its still drastically different then my deceased dragons color.

I would not be leaving on any lights at night. They can see all the colors- maybe it's been keeping him up and he's sleepy.

Also, mealworms have very hard shells made of chitin, which can easily impact your beardie. I suggest you stick to crickets, roaches, and other worms

Okay - so you have two bulbs? One is a UVB and one is left on only at night?

What you need is one daytime bright basking heat bulb and one UVB, both placed on top of the tank next to each other, and no light on at night.

He needs to get his heat as in the SUN which is the bright basking heat bulb, and he also needs to get his UVB, which is a separate bulb. Both of those bulbs always stay on together. And they should be on for 12-14 hours a day in the summer.

What kind of UVB is it? I am looking for something that says it is either a 10.0 strength or a 12% strength. Do you have one of those UVB? (A 5.0 is for tropical lizards and a 2.0 is for amphibians, so I am making sure you have the right light).
