Hey there! My husband and I are new beardie parents! I put our guy in the bath just now for the first time. (He's about a year or so... we rescued him from someone on facebook and have very little info on him) he passes a TON of real dry poo and a hard gross white thing. I've tried to figure out if he was impacted or ifor it was a sperm plug? We just got him last night so I'm not sure of his diet or how long since his last poop. Any advice? I can't figure out how to upload pictures on here or I could show y'all...

Hi. Im new to forum and am having trouble figuring out gow to start a new discussion. I am a very new beardie mommy. We rescued our Zeus from a horrible home. Weve had him a little over 2 weeks now. Hes got all the appropriate epuipment, temps, and lots of love. Along with that his diet has dramatically changed, as his previous family only fed him crickets and pinkies (no veggies no calcium). When he was soaking in the tub we noticed a dry black object hanging out of his vent. I tried to move it and it did come out a little. But then i freaked out bc i had no clue what it was. So I left it there. He hadnt pooped in 3 days and gave a mixture of baby prunes and olive oil, he had a small bm, but the object is still there!! Sperm plug? Or something more??

I would say take him to a vet to get it checked out as I have never seen such a thing before .

I can't see the photo up close, can you please take a close up of the entire vent area? How is your beardie doing? Acting normally, eating? Where do you have it right now?

I'm very, very concerned that this is a prolapse of some kind but I need a close up photo. You need to realize that if it is a prolapse of some kind, you need to find a 24 hour emergency vet that sees reptiles right now, as he/she will surely die.
