IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CORRECT ADVICE OR EXPERIENCE WITH BEARDIE EGGS, I NEED YOU TO NOT COMMENT ON THIS.....


my beardie just had her eggs, I have them in the plastic containers, air holes on top. they are sitting in my hova bator.
I have three thermometers, one on top of one of the containers, one inside one of the containers next to the eggs and the last one on the side of the containers..... what sould temps be?

Keep them at a temperature of eighty-two to eighty-eight degrees Fahrenheit. A moist perlite and vermiculite medium is often use for egg incubation. Different temperatures will result in a different mix of sexes in the hatchlings. Males hatch at higher temperatures, females at lower, and a mixture of the two in the middle of the range.

I haven't done Dragons before. I have successfully bred and hatched several dozen clutches of Bal Pythons though and the procedures are almost identical. Only difference I've found ids that you can rotate a Beardeds eggs in order to find the Shell spot via a flash light. You want this spot pointing up. As for 3 thermometer and different temps. You want the temp inside the box with the eggs and vermiculite to stay between 82 and 88*F.

Um, I believe 84 is the highest you should go! Otherwise they can cook in there.

Interesting, you piqued my interest and I decided to check. Top 10 google responses say 82-88 or 83-87.

ok thank you all and I would love more inputs from each of you....
I am trying as we speak to get the temps right.... you thik it would affect the eggs? i mean the temps are between 82 and 89, I know thats too high, so I have gotten it down to 82- 86F.... I am trying my ass off to get these temps right....

The care sheet I go by says not to let it go over 84. I have eggs in the incubator to. They stay at 82 degrees. I am going to ask Cheryl from Rio Reptiles. She knows everything.

all sheets I have seen have said 84 degrees tops.

I've got the incubator down to 84.3F. i read the article from lllreptile. ha! I don't know why I didn't check there in the first place, I forgot they have caresheets and whatnot.

I set mine to 82 because I stack my egg containers and the ones on top are around 84 from heat rising.
