Okay...should i take him to a vet tomorrow? Its 300 for a visit an my money is kinda tight right now but ill take him if he needs to but if thatll help an heal it on its own then should i?

Yes it will heal on its own - the honey will keep infection away --- AHBD can also advise on this -- I will let her know

Hi there, that may heal as Karrie said but the key is to keep an eye on it. If there's no further infection it will be fine. If the infection continues up the tail you'll need a vet for antibiotics and/or an amputation further up. But right now it looks like a clean break from the rot.

So the part fell off his tail today ive put some water soultion betadine an neosporin on it i hope he heals okay it looks like it will heal fine though

Update so his tail is healing finr he just ate like 15 crickets a couple pieces of collard green an a wax worm in one sitting (thats what he has been eating in a whole day!!) Im so happy he seems way better now

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
