Hes probably stressed from all the movement w / the UVB give him time to settle down --- tomorrow morning you need to start him on salads - you need to get a glass or ceramic bowl - here is a website for nutrition http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder - then order some BSFL also known as phoenix worms calci worms or nutri grubs do not dust order large they are small -- http://www.reptilesplus.com from here you can order small super worms- use those and the BSFL to lure him to the salad bowl - you can also get dubias from there as well they work easier than crickets --- for now disable the crickets by pulling a leg off or two and use your bowl to feed him --- you will haft to use the crickets to get him to the bowl or get some of the worms I mentioned if you can find them in your petstores - most dont carry them but sometimes they will - do not feed him meal worms now hes too little for them and his stomach may not handle the exoskeleton on the meal worm - when he gets older like a juvie then you can feed them -- when you get some worms in like the small supers feed only 1-3 you can also add butter worms when they get them in as well --- I am going to post some websites for worms / insects for you
http://www.dubiaroaches.com good place for dubias and horn worms they are a hydrating worm and they grow really fast so order small amounts -- they carry butter worms but are out now -- you can keep dubias in a plastic tote or 10 gallon aquarium and feed them roach chow along w/ carrots for hydration do not feed your dragon carrots too - to much vitamin A -- they last longer than crickets they dont chirp fly and they dont stink
https://symtonbsf.com/ another place for BSFL
http://www.mulberryfarms.com/ they carry silk worms amongst other worms etc
www.https://reptilianarts.com/ silk worms order small -- if you order in bulb make sure you order food - you will need to feed them daily and clean out their containers
http://www.coastilsilkworms.com they have small bulk now on the west coast --
His UVB looks like its good --- he will go to the light he needs so dont worry about him not basking like he should - good I am glad hes eating ---

It looks like it got nipped or pinched keep an eye on that area below that pinch line - if it starts to get dark minus the shedding sometimes the tail will darken before it sheds or if you think it looks suspicious then repost so we can look -- what exactly is he eating?

It looks darker than the rest too im worried about tail rot maybe thats why he has been eating so little

Tail rot is this
Causes of tail rot are:
1. Injuries/trauma - caused by falls, or by any other bearded dragon.

2. Malnourished - make sure he has a balanced diet and he gets the nourishment he needs

How to identify tail rot:
1. Dried out - Decaying tail won't be able to retain moisture, check if it's dried out completely.

2. Very thin, brittle - Decaying tail won't be able to process nourishment, causing it to become more thin and brittle.

What to do after finding out it has a tail rot:
1. Go to a vet - very recommended

It doesnt look like tail rot -- its possibly gonna shed - which is good cuz that means its still getting blood flow to the tail -
No tail rot does not cause not eating as far as I know -since I think its shedding I will have some one else look too and see if they think the same ---- if its shedding there is nothing you can do but let it shed --- if we think some thing else is a miss we have remedy if that is indeed what it is but for now I believe its gonna shed ---- start dusting the insects that way you know he will eat them and get the calcium --- as long as hes eating something that is good its when they completely stop eating is when to get worried and all your lighting is good -- is he basking under his UVB too?

Hi there, when did you notice the tail problem ? Was his tail caught under some decor or closed under the lid ? Post a few close ups of the entire tail, that does look like possible tail rot, definitely some trauma there.

Yes or you can use some raw unpasteurized honey w / a little warm water for applying it easier you can use a q-tip or set the tail in a bowl in the honey mixture -- the honey will kill any infection -- do not feed crickets in the tank or leave them in the tank as they will go straight for that tail --

Dab it so he has it on his tail you can put the honey on by itself as well that's why I said no crickets in the tank--- put it on like the neospirin

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
