Help Needed!

I took Toothless to the ER vet (Healthy Looking post has all info) on Saturday. Dr. said extremely dehydrated, gave him some type of liquid (was going to do it via shot, but he's too skinny so gave it orally) and gave critical care for me to give him 4-6 times per day. He weighs only 2grams so the powder totals .05ml per day/mixed with water. Took in stool sample yesterday - only able to run 2 out of 3 tests due to small sample. Has Coccidia and trichomonas. Gave meds. Coccidia med (sulfadimethoxine) = .02ml once daily for 7days. Trich meds (Metronidazole) = .01ml once daily for 7 days. Dr. recommended bathing 2x day. Toothless looks awful! Dark color today, barely moves. Almost flat as a pancake. Can he pull out of this? Any advice on meds? Use soy based yogurt too??

BTW, paper towels in viv for duration. Can't clean rock as we currently have no water due to water main break.

bath in lukewarm water up to the sholders and never leave him/her unattended. 2 times a day as they absorde the moisture. flick the water to make it move to see if he will drink if not put a drop on the end of the nose he should start to drink(hopfully but doesnt matter if he dosnt).

use bottled water as well.

his set up... can we go though it...
temps - hot/cool/basking?
what lights have you got? (what types and what makes they are)
whats the distance that he gets from the uvb when hes in the basking spot?
whats the substrate?
does he have a water bowle?

Temps: cool 70-73, hot 90-95, basking topped out at 111
Lights are good except UVB needs to be switched out for ReptiSun (currently Desert slimline50). Can reach 8in from UVB on basking rock. Honestly, spent so much $$ on vet and meds., need to get UVB next payday.
on paper towels now, use repticarpet though.
water bowl is out for the meantime due to parasites.

So if you use bottled water, then it doesn't need that water treatment?? Should he be drinking the bath water considering he's positive for parasites??

boil the water first before you use it if you worried, i never do with bottled water tho. i would hold fire on the trying to get him to drink in the bath then for now. when hes out of the bath, try puting fresh water on his noes and see if he will drink it.

sorry to hear it, dont think there was anything you done wrong. change the light(which light are you getting? can you post a link please) and post a pic of the set up just to double check the set up.

sorry that the little guy didnt make it, and we will make sure the next littlen gets a good start.

We'll get the ReptiSun 10 for the next little guy. As for the viv, we've taken it down and put away for the kids' sake. (We're going to wait until after vacation to get a new beardie so we won't have to worry about someone else taking care of it.) He only had a "Flintstone" looking rock in there as well as a shallow water bowl, which was removed once he tested + for parasites. The next little guy will get a fecal done asap to make sure he doesn't come home with a host of parasites.
