Hi everyone,
I have a female bd. Her name is Lola and she is about 9-10 months old. Until september, she was eating fine. Then she began to eat less and less. I changed her diet from crickets to mealworms, butterworms, and waxworms. She stopped eating everything but the waxworms..at this point i took her to the vet. they did blood work and x-ray. she had liquid in her stomach and her calcium was a little high. they gave me a laxative and after a few days she pooped. two weeks later, no poop. took her to another vet. got a stronger laxative. she pooped then the same no poop for two weeks. call vet again. gave her the laxative again and she pooped after a few days. Right now, she is only eating 8 waxworms and i puree veggies and have to force feed her. I am at a lost..will she ever eat normally again? She does not look sick and her weight seems stable..this is my first bd and i was so happy, now i am so worried..does anyone have any suggestions?

Can you tell us what your setup is like? As in what type of UVB light it is and how old it is? Also what are your temps in the viv and how are you reading them! How old is she?

Lola is 9 - 10 months old. I keep her in a 55 gallon tank. I have a MVB that is about 5 months old. The basking temperature is 100 degrees. The other side of the tank is usually around 75degrees. I have a digital thermometer with a probe for the basking area. the flooring is repti-carpet. She has a basking log, a magnetic rock shelf, and a tall log in the tank. She likes to curl under the log or the shelf. Let me know if I missed anything..please help!

Could she be brumminating? I know quite a few beardies started early in the year, and there are some that have started as early as 9 months?

Have you spoken to the vet again? I take it he has ruled out parasites?

Could you fill us in on the brand and wattage of the MVB you're using? Also, what is the distance of it?

How often do you bathe her and what greens are you feeding?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
