HELP! My Beardie ate a Ladybug! Is it toxic?

I had Minion out with me and he ate a lady bug before I could see it. I did see him flick his tongue out and it was definately a lady bug. I have heard that they are toxic and I am kind of freaking out :!: Please let me know if this is bad! Thanks!

Your beardie should be perfectly fine. Ladybugs are not poisonous, my cat has eaten plenty. Just watch to make sure he is still pooping to ensure there is not impaction and you will be fine. Hope this helps.

I have read that ladybugs are toxic in quantity but I don't think one is going to kill a bearded dragon. One firefly will certainly kill a bearded dragon, though, and fairly quickly.

Is your dragon an adult?

i dont think a ladybug this big ---- can kill a lizard.
