Hi everyone, we recently purchased a new baby dragon, she was one month old and we've had her for 3 weeks now. she was doing good right from the start, eating crickets, bits of baby food applesauce, and a tiny bit of kale (in very tiny pieces). However, the last two days she has refused to eat and while holding her yesterday i noticed that i can feel a tiny lump in her tummy about half way along. Could this be some sort of impaction or something and this is why she's not eating or is it just an organ? I hadden't noticed it before, and i've never felt any lumps in our older dragon that i've had since he was 3 months. I am worried to try and massage her tummy incase it is an organ and i hurt her. I gave her a warm bath this morning (she's also gone from pooing 2-3 times a day to none in the last two days). But she is still drinking water daily and running around... any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I really does sound like it could be a impaction. What kind of flooring do you have in the tank? Start giving her warm baths multiple times a day and gently stroking her tummy from the armpit down to the vent. Try to feed her some apple sauce and a few drops of olive oil to get things moving. Don't offer any solid food until she does go poo, it would just make the impaction worse.

she's on repti-carpet, she still so small i measured and weighed her the other day she's 5" long and 5g. oh, but the breeder i bought her from had her on that orange sand.... maybe that could have started things... i dunno. Ok, i shall continue with the baths and applesauce and add a little olive oil to help her out. Thank you so much.

Nope, since i got her she's been on the repti-carpet the whole time. When i got my frist beardie I read on here that sand is very bad for babies.

so, an update today... she took a tiny, tiny poop yesterday afternoon. but when i got home from work i gave her a warm bath and massaged her tummy. Gave her some applesauce and a tiny bit of olive oil. the lump seems to have moved further down her tummy. she still is running around seeming active etc. hopefully it works thru in the next day or two. :S i am still nervous for her.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
