HELP! Info & links needed. TRAVELING/FLYING WITH 2 BEARDIES?

I will be moving across the country in a couple of months. I will have two bearded dragons that I do not want to leave behind/rehome.

The problem is, I can't drive there. I must fly. :( This makes everything a billion times more complicated when it comes to bringing along my beardies. I don't even know where to start. How can I make my dream of bringing my 2 beardies along come true?

I'm really straight up dumb when it comes to this, so any info/links/advice/how tos are appreciated greatly! I don't know if any of you even have experience with this. But I figured itd worth a shot. THANKS FOR READING!

The only thing I know to suggest, is to call your airline and see if they will even allow the beardies to fly with you. Otherwise, you may need to use a pet transportation company.

Yup, it all depends on the airline. I have to look at taking my beardies to Sweden next year so I am also in the market for this kind of info.

You aren't leaving the country, are you? Otherwise I am sure that would take things to a whole other level.

We have family in Montana and want to drive down there, and are looking into how we can take Bindy.. lol.

Anyway, back to your issue. I can understand not wanting to put them with the rest of the baggage. They may not fair well being tossed around with suitcases. o_O I do know of people who have their dogs fly... (My friend had her two huge shepard's flown across the country.) Perhaps there is a Pet only section with your airline? Or maybe you can take them as carry on? I have little ideas as to how it works.

I hope you figure it out and all goes well! Good luck.

To the Original Poster,
I had a friend who was flying from PA to AZ and he was using Southwest Airlines. He also had a Chinese water dragon at the time. He called to ask if the dragon could fly and that airline said that they only accepted dogs and cats. But it's possible that each airline is different. Good luck and I hope that you will get to take your beardies with you when you move.

I would definitely ship them to your destination overnight so they can meet you there that day. There are lots of breeders on here who would be happy to help you with setting up the shipping arrangements.

Or www.Shipyourreptiles.com and www.ReptilesExpress.com are also helpful and have discounted shipping rates. Many breeders (myself included) have shipped MANY baby dragons across the US with no problems. It's probably the easiest/safest way to go.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
