Help identify this baby

Hello all. I havent owned a beardie in many years and wife brought this cutie home from petsmart. Any ideas as to his morph or what he may look like as an adult? He was listed as a fancy red. Thank you.

He looks like a standard central dragon to me. Fancy is a brand name that Petsmart uses and doesn't indicate a morph or anything specific that I'm aware of. He's a good looking little guy with a lot of orange coloring. It's hard to say what he'll look like when he's grown up, but hopefully he will retain some of that orange coloring which you'll often see around their face and along their beard. Well, he is fancy in my heart lol. He is in a 40 gallon 36x18x18 tank. It came with two of those domes and a uvb and heat lamp. Id like to get a zoomed 30 hood lamp. Should i get the t5 10.0 bulb with it or the 5.0? It will sit at the top of the screen

The ZooMed T5 hood is a nice fixture. It ships with the 5.0 bulb, but you'll definitely want to get a 10.0 (or an Arcadia 12% bulb) for it in order to boost the output adequately.

On Arcadia's site it jas a Dragon 14% bulb, is that what I want if its sitting above the tank mesh?

A 14% is pretty strong, but in a tank that size and if the mesh is pretty fine then that will intercept quite a bit and the 14 should be OK. I have the same size tank and use a 12% but I leave the mesh top off, so it might wind up being a wash in terms of output. Are you in the US? ReptileBasics carries the Arcadia bulbs. Light Your Reptiles carries the bulbs along with good fixtures if you want to just buy a single package.

I am in the US and Reptile basics was recomended by a petsmart employee lol. Lucky for me they are also located here in NC around 5 hours away from me. I ordered the 24" Dragon kit. Thank you all for the responses

Hey guys. Could really use help. The little guy isnt eating for me.I swapped out his uvb bulb that came with the tank and am using a arcadia 24 kit with the dragon bulb. What can i do to ensure he is getting the heat and uva uvb with my setup? Is he too skinny? We have had him a week now and its stressing me out. Darn Petsmart.

He looks OK (but still quite small). and looks like he's enjoying a bask under the lights. Keep offering food and let him bask if that's what he wants. Look out for dark black beard or for him to start hiding as bad signs. Basking but not eating isn't necessarily a bad sign.

This is day 8 with a total of 4 small worms and a small peice of green though. At petsmart he was the only one off by himself while the rest were basking. That would have been a red flag for me but the wife brought him home as a gift.

Is your dragon eating more now? At this age we cant tell the sex and wont be able to for like 6 months or so ---- can you lay that piece you have down for more basking areas or different temps for him- he looks so high up I am afraid he will jump off and get hurt from the tile if he lands wrong --- can you lay the piece down so the stick part thats in the air is on the floor ? Also you need to be getting basking temps w/ a digital probe thermometer all I see is a dial or stick on one-- I can give you some help w/ getting him to eat his salads as well ---
